Wake in Fright accepted @ The 2011 Montreal's Fantasia Film Festival



Antonio Saillant from Angel Light Pictures submitted WAKE IN FRIGHT to the Montreal's Fantasia Film Festival on behalf of Ted Kotcheff (Executive Producer of Law & Order SVU).

WAKE IN FRIGHT has been accepted to play Montreal's Fantasia Film Festival this summer, which runs July 14 through August 7.

WAKE IN FRIGHT will be part of a special tribute sidebar to the Australian cinema.

Ted will host his screening, conduct a Q&A and do some press. Tony Timpone, programmer of the festival, will be there to assist with his presentation.

38 years after its 1971 debut, 'in competition,' at the Cannes Film Festival, it was declared a Cannes Classic in 2009 and screened again as part of the 2009 Cannes Classics retrospective program. Ted holds the honor of having one of only 2 films to have ever been screened twice at Cannes.

Ted Kotcheff - is executive producer of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” guiding the top-rated series through its 200-plus episodes and into its twelfth hit season. Kotcheff is one of the industry’s top film and television directors and producers. His classic dramas include “The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz,” which launched the career of Richard Dreyfus, and “Uncommon Valor,” starring Gene Hackman. His comedies range from cult hit “Weekend at Bernie’s” and “Fun With Dick and Jane” starring Jane Fonda and George Segal, to “Who’s Killing the Great Chefs of Europe” with Jacqueline Bisset, Segal and a host of Europe's great comedy actors. His direction of “First Blood” initiated and defined the “Rambo” series, and “North Dallas Forty,” which he wrote and directed, is considered one of the greatest sports films of all time. Other notable films include the BAFTA Award winning “Edna, the Inebriate Woman,” Cannes Film Festival classic “Wake in Fright,” “Joshua Then and Now” starring James Woods, and “Winter People” starring Kurt Russell.

Tony Dovolani set to star in the upcoming comedy "Pumping Up"

April 9, 2010 ~ Dancing with the Star, Tony Dovolani set to star in the upcoming comedy "Pumping Up"

"PUMPING UP"produced by Angel Light Pictures is an independent film to be shot in Queens, NY. The story revolves around three local friends who work out at an old gym.
Tony Dovolani is slated to star as Tommy, weight-lifter who joins his friends every year in the annual "Mr. Hercules" weightlifting contest. The film will depict how the competition affects their lives and personal relationships. Looking at a 1970's & 1980's remix soundtrack. Think of Saturday Night Fever in a gym!

Joining the cast is J. Robert Spencer, best known for his role as Nick Massi in "Jersey Boys".J. Robert Spencer was part of the original cast of the "Jersey Boys" who won the 2006 Tony Award for Best Musical. Spencer was also nominated for a Tony Award for his current role as Dan in the Broadway musical "Next to Normal."
Also joining the cast playing himself is Goumba Johnny who is heard in the afternoons on KTU! Tune in every Monday- Friday from 3pm-7pm for the "Hollywood Hamilton and Goumba Johnny" Show.
"Pumping Up" written by Peter Papageorgiou, Executive Producer, Antonio Saillant, owner of Angel Light Pictures and Tony Timpone, Editor of both Fangoria Magazine and Fangoria.com will Produce. Antonio Saillant is also heading structuring on the film's financing and fund-raising.
Saillant formed Angel Light Pictures with the goal of developing films for a global audience. Saillant worked with Robert Stock at Stock's Eye, the independent production company which produced the syfy thriller The Ascension, starring Corbin Bernsen.

Saillant also worked on the independent film Heterosexuals, produced by J. Robert Spencer and will be screened at the 2010 Boston International Film Festival in April.
Pumping Up has no start date. Further details about the upcoming feature movie, including cast and targeted release date, will be revealed in the months ahead.

Executive Produced by J. Robert Spencer under his Independent Film Company 7 SPENCER PRODUCTIONS. Spencer is best known for the role of Nick Massi in the Tony and Grammy Award Winning Musical JERSEY BOYS. Now Spencer originated the role of Dan Goodman in the Critically Acclaimed Broadway Production of NEXT TO NORMAL. He was nominated for the Helen Hayes Award for Outstanding Lead Actor and nominated for a 2008 - 2009 Tony Award for Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical.

Associate Producer of the film, HETEROSEXUAL’S, Antonio Saillant, formed Angel Light Pictures with the goal of developing films for a global audience.
